Botdraft is the working name for this project. It will be renamed; the official product name has not been decided.
Start with software and simulation The project is developing a workflow from simulation to physical robots. The aim is to lower the barrier to starting with hardware: first assemble a robot in the simulator, develop agents, and run the software; then confirm parts and design details before printing, procurement, assembly, and debugging.
This is broader than a companion-robot use case. The focus is the development workflow and the supported components, software, and export paths.
What is implemented Local 3D assembly, model editing, wiring, and interface checks. Local program execution, pause, single-step, and run records. Limited text-session and memory workflows, with confirmation required for supported simulated action proposals. Exports of a bill of materials (BOM), configuration, portable runtime packages, source code, and STL meshes for models or assemblies. These capabilities are subject to the supported configurations and interfaces. A model reading or a simulated action receipt does not establish a result on physical hardware.
What exports do and do not establish Current delivery exports can use the same applied configuration version. The BOM is generated from catalog composition and configured cables; it is not a procurement-verified list of every physical part. Runtime and source export checks do not by themselves mean the exported software has been compiled or executed.
An STL file does not prove printability, verified dimensions, part fit, or manufacturing suitability. Hardware source targets are limited to supported ESP32-S3 bench configurations; they do not provide deployment to arbitrary hardware.
What remains to validate The complete workflow still needs checks of material-list completeness, manufacturing files, physical dimensions and assembly, electrical behavior, and supported real-hardware operation. The simulator is not presented as a validated high-precision dynamics simulator.
The project is in development. There is no commercial release, confirmed pricing, or announced release date. See the current development scope and project updates for the boundaries of published claims. Contact Grainpeak LLC with project questions.
